One of the automobile sector’s most widely issued international set of standards used in quality management, ISO/TS 16949. Its evolving with the release of a brand new global industry standard brought to us by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF). This recent edition was developed with an unprecedented response from industry responses and engagement from AIAG members representing North America.
ISO/TS 16949, a specialized specification for automobile industry quality management oragnizational structures, has become one of the most widely installed international standards in the automotive industry, orchestrating the different valuation and autorization structures in the world wide automotive hierarchy.
Back on October 3rd 2016, IATF 16949:2016 was published by the IATF and rises above and replaces currently used ISO/TS 16949, determining the requirements of a quality management structure for companies within the automobile industry.
